Phyllis has a deep connection to the Park Ridge and Niles community through her husband, who was raised there, and their children, who currently live and attend school in the district. Together, they chose to raise their family here because they believe in its strength and the values it instills in children. As the mother of two—a son at Emerson Middle School and a daughter at Maine South High School—Phyllis is deeply invested in ensuring that every child in the district receives the best possible education.

Phyllis’s experiences as both a parent and an active community member give her a unique perspective. She brings fresh ideas, an open mind, and a deep respect for the traditions and values that make the district special.

Phyllis initially ran for the District 64 School Board to become more involved in the community where she is raising her family. One of her primary goals was to help bring Full-Day Kindergarten to the district—a goal she is proud to have helped achieve as the swing vote that made Full-Day Kindergarten a reality.

Through her involvement in professional organizations and her experience with the Chicago Bar Association, Phyllis combines legal knowledge, policy advocacy, and practical governance strategies. These connections and experiences empower her to:

  • Make informed decisions that benefit students, educators, and the broader community

  • Leverage resources to address challenges and enhance educational opportunities

  • Navigate legal and compliance issues effectively to support district goals

Phyllis remains passionate about serving her community and is dedicated to helping District 64 thrive.
